Ms. Dominique

Preschool Teacher and Raising a Reader Coordinator

I was born and raised in Riverside, CA. I applied to Cal Poly as a joke with my friends and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I now live in SLO and absolutely love it. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, going on adventures, and being an aunt to my roommate's very needy cat and dabbling with coding and web development.

I graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelors in Child Development and minors in Math and Psychology in 2016. All throughout my undergrad, I worked at Cal Poly ASI Children's Center.

Ms. Millie

Hi! My name is Milan Tolani, but most people call me Millie! I was born and raised in Las Vegas but have been living in California for a little over six years, and SLO for the past three. I attended UC Davis for some years but am now finishing my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies through the University of Washington online. I also took classes at Cuesta, where I worked in their children’s center before coming here to Trust Children’s Center. I enjoy doing outdoor activities, playing board games, and crafting with my boyfriend, Cody, who is also a Trust employee. Together, we have six reptiles, mine being a leopard gecko named Chipkali and a crested gecko named Wanda. I am also a trained makeup artist and like to cosplay! My favourite animals are sharks, colour is yellow and music style is post-hardcore! People commonly describe me as cheerful, silly, and outgoing. I can’t wait to get to know you all!

Ms. Sarah S.

Preschool Teacher

I grew up right across from the ocean in Cambria, CA and am now living in Grover Beach. I Graduated from Cuesta College in 2016 with my AA in Early Childhood Education. In my free time you can find me rehearsing and acting in local community theatre productions, spanning 18 productions in 14 years. I love being anywhere by the ocean rain or shine. I also love coffee, hot tea, scented candles, books, all things Disney, and cats.

My love for working with children began early on as I worked as a babysitter in my teens and then as nursery care at a local church in 2013. I worked there for two years along with being an events coordinator at Grandma's Frozen Yogurt & Waffle Shop in Morro Bay, where I was often in contact with young children and their families. I started working professionally in a childcare setting in 2015 and I've been in childcare ever since.

I’m so excited to be part of the Trust family!

Ms. Dawn

Infant Teacher

I live in Arroyo Grande with my husband Wes. I have one son named Tyler. We have a dog named CJ. I enjoy all outdoor activities- hiking, running, and spending time with my family. In fact, my favorite place in the world is wherever my family is.

I have been teaching preschool since my son was three-years-old. He is now turning 24! Most of my teaching has been in private christian preschools. I loved every preschool I have ever taught in. Some of my children are all grown, married, and have children of their own. I especially love being a part of TCC! We have the best kids! I love the family atmosphere and the amazing teacher support from Trust and our families.

Ms. Carissa

Preschool Teacher

I am married to my husband, Jeremy, we live in Nipomo. I was born and raised on the Central Coast and went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. My hobbies are wine tasting, playing games with friends and practicing calligraphy. I have a cat named Duddy, he is 11 years old. My favorite place in the world is still probably being home, there’s just no place like home. However my favorite place that I have traveled to was Mozambique on an island called Benguerra Island.

My experience with child care has been working at a preschool since I was 22, I then attended Cal Poly and received a bachelor’s in child development. I was a nanny for 3 years and after that I worked at another preschool and now I am here at Trust and have been here for over a year now. I love working with children because I not only learn more about them but I learn more about myself and life every day I am with them.

Ms. Bianca

Infant Teacher

I was born and raised in Corona, CA. I moved to the Central Coast three years ago and currently live in Cayucos with my two roommates and my two cats (Cheddar and Joey). I'm the second oldest of five. My hobbies include fishing, crafting, and traveling. My favorite place in the world is Disneyland.

I started working with kids when I volunteered at my church in 2010 and from then on I knew I was in the right field. I then went to becoming a nanny and tutor for a few years and finally decided to go to school to become a preschool teacher. I worked at a preschool for a year while studying at Cuesta and I am now excited to be at TCC!

Ms. Kylie

Preschool Teacher

I live in Arroyo Grande with my boyfriend, Z, our six-year-old son, Eli, and our newly welcomed son, Luka. I have a large and local family and I enjoy spending time with them whenever time allows. If I had to choose a favorite place to be, I would have to say on the back of a horse. I also have passions for wearing cozy socks, reading books, and enjoying the outdoors.

In 2016, I graduated from Cal Poly with my bachelors in Child Development and Psychology. Even though I wasn't always sure where my degree might take me, I was excited to learn all I could about children and the unique ways in which they grow. I feel very fortunate to have had a number of different experiences working with children and I am so thankful to have been at TCC for over four years.

*Currently I am out of the classroom on maternity leave, but I am looking forward to returning soon!

Ms. Hanna

Infant/Toddler Assistant

Hello TCC!

I am a SLO native! I have 3 sisters - a social worker, an artist, and a college student. I just graduated from Seattle University with my nursing degree, and recently earned my my RN license! I hope to practice as a pediatric trauma nurse and as a Spanish medical interpreter. When I am not loving every minute at TCC, I'm at the beach or practicing Yoga in my backyard. I am currently reading Lord of the Rings... it's going slowly. While I don't have any fur children of my own, I check the Woods Humane Society website religiously. My favorite place in the world (right now) is Disneyland, though that may change after my trip to Australia for the 2023 Women's World Cup (sorry Teacher Sarah). Other fun facts about me - I play the piano, I bake delicious Harvest Apple Cupcakes, I organize when I am stressed, and I hate wearing shoes :).

My experience in childcare began with volunteering as a teachers aid for Pacheco's Kindergarten Summer School in 5th grade. In high school I also taught at Tiny Tigers Preschool. I spent the last four years as an Infant/Toddler Teacher at Bright Horizons in Seattle and occasionally substituted in the Preschool class. I love seeing babies learn about the world around them, learn to make mistakes, and get excited about their independence. I also love seeing preschoolers turn their curiosities into passions and to see them get excited about learning.

Ms. Mariah

Preschool Teacher

I graduated from Cal Poly SLO in June 2020. I live with my boyfriend in Arroyo Grande. I’m a very family and friend oriented person. I love music and art. I love Northern California, it's where I’m from and is still my favorite place in the world. I’m a big believer in having a growth mindset and am always improving on myself.

I’ve worked with kids since I was 15; almost seven years now. I started with ages 6-12 in an informal setting and had a love for that. In the last two years I’ve worked with younger children in more established settings and that has been a great experience. I love children for their curiosity and full embodiment of self. I love that I learn from children, they bring me back to earth sometimes. I also love that I have an opportunity to make a positive impact on them; that’s like the whole point.

Ms. Emily

Infant/Toddler Assistant

I am originally from San Jose, CA where I lived with my mom, dad, two sisters, and our dog Koza. I grew up doing gymnastics and played volleyball in middle school and high school. I like to do art (especially watercolor, calligraphy, and journaling), read, and listen to music as much as I can!

For the last two years I worked in the Infant Room at UCLA ECE Fernando Center. I've also worked as a nanny, substitute teacher, and a gym coach. I minored in applied developmental psychology at UCLA.

Ms. Rosemary

Preschool Assistant

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I graduated from University of Illinois- Urbana- Champaign with a BFA in Dance. I live with my husband and dog in Los Osos. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking Montana de Oro, yoga, and all the delicious food the 805 has to offer!

I taught dance in preschools all over the Bay Area for almost ten years, and then I moved to the Central Coast to marry my husband. Because I loved working in preschools, I decided to make the transition to preschool teacher, and I attended Cuesta College for Early Childhood Education. I taught at United Methodist Children’s Center in San Luis Obispo for several years and then made the transition to Trust Children’s Center. In the classroom, I'm passionate about the Outdoor Classroom, children's literature, and movement education.

Ms. Karen
